brianewing: Been racking my brain on this one. I had the general pose that I wanted. Angle of the face and whatnot. But I couldn’t make it work as a composition. So for the past couple of weeks I’d print the sketch out and try different hairstyles, ornamentation and change up the animals until I could get something I was happy with. (And throw in a little bit of self-loathing as well.) Whenever I’m stuck I don’t like to erase, redraw and erase some more. It’s easier for me to print out the sketch and work on a separate sheet of paper. It’s part of my neurosis…I can’t ‘splain it. Anyway it saves me time and I still keep the original idea intact. In the past I’d work a drawing until I erased a hole in the paper and feel some remorse over losing the original idea/drawing in the process. This makes it easier. I think that makes sense. Drank a lot of coffee already so who knows what I’m saying.

Have you seen the film "Girl Model" and if so what are your thoughts?

I have only seen the trailer but from what I can see it does sum up a huge percentage of this industry. It’s really quite a dark, lonely and demanding career for many girls.. You are one in a million and not in a good way.. Being a model is just not as easy as travel, money, clothes, pose, parties, yay! Only a small amount of girls live that life.. I need to watch it to give a proper opinion though :)
